These notes are for XVWeb Update 2.3.8.10 released on Thursday 18 February 2021.

We have stopped supporting the Advanced Edit feature and have removed it from XVWeb. (#1765)

New Features in 2.3.8

Patient Data Management Improvements

• Similiar/Duplicate patient alert. This feature should notify the user of other patient records with the same Patient ID when viewing images. You can then select to update the first name, last name, date of birth, and gender to resolve any conflicts. This feature can be enabled in the Site Settings menu. (#1757)

  • This feature is available to users with Edit privileges.
  • This feature is not available for sites that have Mask Patient IDs enabled.

Image Comparison Improvements

• For some images when viewed with an image filter, XVWeb should also apply that filtering during a Compare Tool session. (#1790)

Defects Resolved in 2.3.8

Patient Name fixes

• An issue has been resolved where the = character was causing parsing errors when used in a patient’s first, last, or additional name. XVWeb should reject the importing of patients whose names include the = character. (#1763)

• An issue has been addressed where some long patient names may have been unexpectedly truncated. XVWeb should enforce a 32 character length limit for a patient’s first or last name and notify the user if the limit is exceeded. (#1762)

UI fixes

• Fixed an issue where XVWeb sometimes would not correctly show when an image is highlighted. (#1777)

• Fixed an issue in Site Settings where clicking on the text for Mask Patient IDs toggled a different checkbox for Require Zip Password for Exports. (#1773)

Known Issues in 2.3.8

• XVWeb doesn’t import color mode Lossless JPEG images.
• When importing into an existing series within an existing patient, the button may be disabled. Refresh the page and try again.
