NOTE This release will require a new manual installation of the XVWeb Bridge application and a new manual installation for the web browser extensions in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. XVWeb should display a message at the top of the page after a user logs in that the extension and bridge are out of date. You can still use all of the features of XVWeb, however, you will not be able to use the new Capture Shortcuts (see below) until you upgrade the two (2) parts of the browser inter-op extension.
IMPORTANT Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) can no longer launch external capture software. Use one of the other browsers listed above for this feature. IE 11 can still use all of the other features of XVWeb.
The changes below are only sketches and will be more descriptive and complete for the actual release. The numbers in parenthesis refer to our dev team’s tracking system.
